Chapter 1: 十神定义:五行生克与阴阳同异

menu_bookLesson 1: 何谓十神

Ten relationships centered on the 日主

子平八字 takes the 日干 as the self (日主). Every other 天干 and each 藏干 is compared with the 日主 through 五行 generation or control and matching or opposite 阴阳 polarity. These comparisons produce the 十神.

Relationship to 日主Same polarityOpposite polarity
Same 五行比肩劫财
Generated by 日主食神伤官
Controlled by 日主偏财正财
Controls 日主七杀(偏官)正官
Generates 日主偏印(枭)正印

This table is the basic grammar for reading 十神. Interpretation still depends on strength, position, and the wider 命局.
